Baby tongue-and-groove (channellocks) pliers tighten it that way. Magnetic tip is great for sticking the scribe close to you when your hands are full. I stick it to a handy metal surface and it's right at my fingertips.

False advertisement on length. Just poor quality.

The magnet on the back is more of a hindrance than anything. But it is not very strong a connection and i can foresee issues.

Absolutely pain in the rear end. If your looking for a project to fix before using this is it! Shame on general tools, it's pretty hard to mess up such a simple device.
