If you can find a very nice piece straight e thin enough to fit on the table saw wall side of this edger then youre good

I tried to use a 6 aluminum level but it is too thick to fit

Make sure also that you have your support roller stand to receive your piece of work and keep pushing the wood template or the straight one to the the fence as firm as you can and remember that when the second edger goes thru it will fall off at the edge of the table saw and if youre not holding it firmly it may screw your piece
