This is compact and does what it’s supposed to though. Handy little tool.

The device is a lot smaller than it appeared in the listing. Difficult to use on an edge.

There's over 3 degrees of slop in the measuring beam because the hole in the beam is well oversized. The spring washer is oversized to the stud flats and unflat to the beam. Ruined some lumber. Not welded.
