While most people can stand to live without their phone over the course of a bike ride some may not want to have it stashed in their backpack due to the wide variety of gps based mapping apps available now that can be a really nice resource for a bicycle rider

The case is designed to be water resistant not water proof so it is not submersible

In my informal testing it did stand up very well to some pretty aggressive spray in my shower without the inner contents getting wet so suffice to say it will stand up to the most serious rain storm you would ever want to be riding you bike in but is not suitable for underwater applications

Once mounted you can easily slide the case off the bracket when you park your bike or you can remove the whole thing bracket and all by releasing the quickrelease lever

The unit can be rotated to be used on the bike in either landscape or portrait mode

Once you have your phone snugly fit inside the case the clear window allows operation of your touch screen even if you have a screen protector on your phone

Not super high level touch screen dexterity but you certainly get a good enough response to use the screen to whatever lengths you might be using it whilst astride a bicycle
