It is perfect for gas and works even on cold oil although that takes a bit of time because you basically have to fill up the bulb on one pump and release and then pump it again to get the oil into the receptacle

It sucks gas up and out of my mowers tank easily

It even does a gravity siphon by itself with no further pumping although the flow then is pretty slow

I just pump a few times quickly and easily starting the siphon and then i go do something else
