Instead of running the strap under the cushions i tipped the couch and went underneath with the strap which seems to work well although might prove to be an effort when i remove the cover to clean it

I am impressed with the quality and especially impressed with the fact that the cover stays in place even on the top where sometimes three dogs will sit or lay and look out the window
