Pros & Cons

Pros

The fujinon techno has the best optical quality of any binocular. The extra magnification plus the stabilization makes them the first choice. The stabilization system uses gyro sensors, position sensors, and direct motors for instant corrections.

Comes with legit pelican/fujinon carrying case. The image stabilization is freaky-good, almost magical. The included strap is perfect -- no need for anything extra there. On top of it they are waterproof, and come with a very nice case.

The fujinon is heavy at 44 oz. They are rather bulky and heavy, but with a shoulder harness strap it's not a big deal.

Don't hesitate just buy them. My fujinon ts1440 binoculars are 17 years old and i had them bought used on craigslist. Both of these are available on amazon.

These are the best is binocs i’ve ever used. The fuji's are great. I like the rubber armor coat of the canon's better, but the fuji's should hold up against all but the most abusive handing. Great set of fuji binos.

Quality

Reviewinvariably these are the best is binocs i’ve ever used and the image quality is classic fuji film

The image stablilaztion is great and the image quality is top notch

As others have commented this is a bulky product

I stuck with the ts1440 as its a known and proven design

Price

Definitely a little heavy but well worth the price

Packaging/appearance

Didnt like the external battery pack on the strap of the ts1230

Here is a review by the infamous ken rockwell on the fujinon 14x40 technostabi binoculars

Competitiveness

Heavier than the canon 10x42 isl and that is with 4 aa batteries in it

Aboard our 35 and 40 foot sailboats cheaper binocs and expensive steiners were what we always used

Seems odd why a 1200 pair of binocs doesn’t have objective lens covers2

You cannot see clearly with 14 power binos on land unless they are held very still or in a tripod
