Pros & Cons
Pros
Great craftsmanship. Easy to use. Happy with my purchase. Restored some of my faith in company pride in their product.
This is for width. I have a pair of wading boots for fishing that needed to be a a little wider. Metal stretching * worked magic for a customized fit.
Cons
Jb kwik weld just isn't thick enough to stretch leather work boots. Even with oiling the boot every time, forget it. Save your money and either go elsewhere or take your boots to a cobbler.
Now worthless. Ridiculous for that amount of money. It's very disappointing. This is a steep price to pay for something that only lasts 1 year.
Highlights
Quality
Here's how i made the footfitter work for me (better than the directions that came with product).
Made with high quality material and nice finish on the wood.
And no, i didn't use any fluid or such just cranked it until it was firm with the bunion spacers inserted into the correct spot.
Even with the footfitter and my repeated stretching, i would never plan a whole day walking in my still-too-tight-but-much-better chelseas.
Competitiveness
Well worth the money as my boots cost $200.

I suggest then putting the footfitter in the boot and check to see if when opened it will press against the shoe where your marks are

If this works then crank away and leave the footfitter in your boot for a few hours test and repeat if necessary
