Comes with the rubber washer and instructions. Inexpensive, easy to install, pretty much universal, quiet.
The toilet is functioning as it should again after a simple install. This replaces an older generation fluidmaster 400. A perfect replacement for worn out valve.

Im really happy with this product and my toilet is functioning as it should again after a simple install
I simply matched the length with the existing fill valve and adjusted the length accordingly and installed it
Price
Solved the issue of my toliet always running a tiny bit and wasting water was super easy to install and the price was good
Installed in 10 minutes works like a charm good price
Packaging/appearance
Not seeing any other part that could be at faulti decided to replace the fill valve using the fluidmaster 400a
Competitiveness
I knew i had a fluidmaster 400a kicking around so i had no choice but to use it
This replaces an older generation fluidmaster 400
I will update the review within the next two years if they do break however anything more than 2 years i would consider an excelent product

Our approx 8 year old american standard toilet had always been quite quiet until recentlywhen it started getting randomly quite loud when fillingit was working fine but the random loud noise was annoyingand somewhat worrying

Since the new valve looked almost identical to the original i expected it to function the same as the old

And thankfully there were no leaksbut it was loudpossibly even louder than it was when i decided to fix iti was disappointed at first

I have since nearly closed the shut off valve and the noise level is now much closer to what it was and the tank fills in about 60 seconds
