The bulk of the cover does go in the wash its the mesh and hard plastic stuff that is permanently i mean screwed on by the manufacture that you have to scrub on

While it feels sturdy and im not worried about it being safe its not something i think youll use for three kids and pass down to family for their kids

Like i said its great for newborns and especially if you want something near you during the night but it wont hold up to a larger baby

This means im constantly washing it and it fits worse after every wash

On the snugabunny you could take the entire thing off besides the mesh and toss it in the washer

Sleeping through the night however the rocking feature is not as great as i hoped for and its more like shaking the thing than rocking but the stationary feature is what ill be utilizing more

The lining on the bottom also melted in the dryer
