Im not sure why fanimation couldnt provide this fan with a shorter downrod to begin with 2 speed settings are not evenly distributed the different between the highest and second highest settings are substantial i wish there was something in between and the lowest setting is almost useless

The fans i originally had barely moved air and surely did nothing to cool the air or supply enough air to help keep flys and gnats from entering the door when going in and out

The medium speed gives a nice quiet cool breeze but put them on high and they drive all the bugs and flys away
