I am not sure how this downrod will work for fans other than the fanimation spitfire

While it works great for the fanimation it will not work for many fans that you may purchase

The ends are not threaded which some fans require

The only real downside is that i think this downrod is a bit more pricey than similar products available from other manufactures but if you go with another manufacture you risk the colors not matching or the downrod being incompatible
