Only returned this item because i could not find a place where it would fit and be out of the way

This prevent the kids to move it and if moved it will not scratch my wood floor

Instructions were not very clear drawings were a bit hard to understand but i also didnt read them all the way through before beginning assembly my bad so i ended up leaving off the black washers which doesnt seem to make any difference until you try to position the top and drawers
