I'm a relatively inexperienced caster but can shoot this one out to about 40' with ease. It is tough, fights even big bucket mouths with aplomb. Rigged with 3-wt, it does great.
This rod with the cahill reel is awesome. It has the rosewood reel seat. The eyelets are well made as well.
Cons
Horrible packaging with no bubble, paper or anything for protection. Basically 0 protection inside. The cork handle is now in two pieces and very uncomfortable to use anymore.
