I am 5 foot 9 inches 190 pounds ordered this according to size chart from hoyer this may have been a defective unit or ill designed no matter how it was adjusted it would not pick me up in a seated position the shoulder straps are to long and are not adjustable thus only allowing a slightly reclined lift which is useless if you are trying to be put in a wheelchair in a seated position or in anything that requires to be seated upright on or in its much easier to use than the hoyer version
