We bought a nice hdtv and just wanted to plug in the stereo headphones in the front headphone jack but there was no front jack nor any 3mm phone jack anywhere

Only one possible negative is that with headphones and hdtv muted the logical way to use headphones so as not to disturb others theres no way to mute the commercials so a mute button along with a simple remote control just for the mute button would have made this unit perfect

The headphones also help dampen in a good way the extreme variations of volume in modern movies especially when music is introduced into the script an annoyance which almost requires headphones if there are others nearby and you wish to hear the spoken dialogue without the music blasting

Mine was set to dolby and the device did not work until i remembered the other reviewers advice
