The battery cover slides out toward the bottom which can be a bit of a problem

If you put your thumb in the wrong place when sliding the caliper open you can accidentally open the battery cover instead

Its already happened a couple times but the battery didnt come out and the reading stayed put

It is minimal and id guess that it would still be within or just a hair outside of the documented tolerances

Id think that if you treated it like a precision electronic instrument and dont throw it around or anything that there should be no issues
