Pros & Cons
Pros
Strong and sturdy, easy to clean. Shreds cheese really nicely. It is diabolically sharp though. Comes out shaped like wood shavings.
The handle is very easy to grip securely. Easier to clean and use than box type or rotary hand crank graters. Love the rubberized type grips and the counter bracing end supports.
The two grate sizes grate and shred well. Has rubber feet to rest on the cutting board or plate while grating. Rubber piece on the end keeps it from slipping while in use.
The best part is that cleaning is a breeze and it brings its own plastic cover so storing is great. I am thankful they have plastic covers for storage. Made in usa and dishwasher safe.
The di oro grater is all metal and i believe will hold up over the test of time. These graters are durable and work great. We feel like these will be around for a looooong time.
Cons
I'm thoroughly displeased with the product. The blades are very aggressive and when grating a hard cheese higher force is required to make the tool work. My coarse one is broken again. Just friction fit.
