Pros & Cons

Pros

This is one of those products i wish i knew about sooner. We also do a lot of research for our customer's sake trying to avoid the charlatan side of the business at all costs.

Defenderpad is minimizing the health dangers from laptop radiation. A huge increase in the amount and range of emr that we face daily constitutes a major environmental change that has happened in the last generation.

The rubber area grips to the laptop and absorbs heat. It feels sturdy and the grippy texture stops the laptop from sliding around.

Cons

Sure, it shield your legs, but where does the rest go? I can still feel the heat from the side fan blowing on my leg.

Now with this expensive thing i feel no pain or stinging

The product does seem a bit pricey but you really cant go wrong with it as it is a nice size fairly comfortable with good grip ...  Read More

Id recommend paying 3040 dollars more for full protection stop cheaping out on yourself and just buy it already

Although expensive i consider this a good investment

Shipping

United states postal service rather than united parcel service

Packaging/appearance

The packaging was really bad but the product ifself is ok

Competitiveness

I absolutely love this thing especially when compared sidebyside with an equally expensive and vastly inferior namebrand shield

I bought this with the defenderpad pillow and they work great together

Most if not all competitors products only block 8090

By comparison the other 34s34brand shield is superthin and covered with a cheap vinyl material that hangs over the edges of the shield

I feel less fatigued when working on my laptop and less heat being given off by the device

I never tested it with my rf meter because i use my laptop with ethernet and you should too if you are trying to reduce exposure

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

By the way dont make the mistake i made for many years

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Use a shielded ethernet cable and ground it by using conductive tape not aluminum tape the adhesive is not conductive

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

If you have the ethernet cable connected to an ethernet over powerline device you will likely have body voltage north of 40 volts which completely defeats the purpose of using ethernet in the first place if youre doing it for health reasons

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However there was a really nasty chemical smell probably from the glue connecting the padding to the mat

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It took about 12 months to fully go away and the mat is not completely evenly connected to the mat so that was a little sloppy
