Three of the six cameras i had up are completely useless. The cameras and nvr are of decent build quality, but i am very frustrated with the motion detection software. Two of the cameras are on the fritz and about to go out.

Actually there were no instructions provided by defender regarding how to change the cameras ip addresses
Again the amount of footage depends on the quality of your recording

I got this product to increase my family’s comfort

With so many cameras this does take some time to setup as these are not wireless cameras nor as they poe cameras so you will need to run wires to the dvr and the outlet so be aware of that with this

You may be able to get poe injectors but i am not sure if they will work for these

That being said this does come with a 1 tb hard drive which is a bit small for this many cameras

The downside with wires is that if there is a power outage you lose access to the dvr and cameras as they are not poe

The device will overwrite older footage once the hard drive is full
