Pros

It's lighter than some instruments, but still has enough mass that it has a good tone. The finish on the wood is just a finish which means its not gonna scratch up if it bumps into something like the typical paint on a guitar.

It requires a few adjustments, but it plays and sounds terrific. Allows for finger callouses to develop. If you need to file the nuts, those are the only pricy tools.

This is a good beginners bass. It's a good size and the frets are good for beginners. Would definitely recommend for beginner bassists. This is an instrument in the beginner's range, and most beginners don't know much about instruments.

Don't hesitate to purchase dean guitars. All in all it's a respectable deal and i'm happy. Customer service from the seller is great!

The sound is clean and mellow, no distortion of any kind. It fills in the bottom end of my songs nicely.

Packaging/appearance

The action on both is perfect right out of the box

It looked like someone tried to open the package and squished i with other boxes

Though the packaging was flimsy both arrived in perfect condition

I took a star away for the bad packaging

Competitiveness

Just started learning and after researching the various ones on amazon and guitar center this seemed the best for the price

I like the sound and its a great lookfeel for the price

Nice for begginers but if not buying for a begginer then i would suggest looking elsewear
