How loud it is depends partly on what tires are on the bike deep tread and knobs make lots more noise than slick road tires

I am a fan of using your own gear cluster to adjust resistance which the cycleops uses rather than relying on a separate adjusting device

The noise is reasonable though it does get pretty loud at high speeds higher gears because the faster your back wheel is turning the faster the wind resistance unit will spin

If you have a little room to leave the trainer unfolded theres really no reason not to use the trainer as a convenient place to store your bike when youre not using itwhich of course means easy accessibility to an exercise option
