This is a great bulb for the money because its dimmable and approved for enclosed fixtures
They seem brighter than 40w incandescent bulbs
The bulbs are dimmable although we did not test this because we dont have a dimmable fixture for standard edisonscrew bulbs

These are incandescent shaped and compatible but thats where it stops
