Tried it in a shop with the card next to my bank card and it blocked the data

Difficult to test definitively but it did prevent my bus pass working so i suspect it works

Subsequent trials worked payment blocked and led flashing whilst card was either in front of or behind the payment card whilst held near the pay terminal

The second signal red card worked at first attempt and the led flashed continuously whilst in proximity of the pay terminal
