Pros
Keeping both and the oem antenna to change out as needed. Easy to install, seems sturdy as well.
This makes trips through the auto carwash a breeze. Fit on our 2007 mustang quite well. Replaced my crusty, sun-dried stock whip antenna on 2014 mustang.
Cons
The antenna is small and compact, but once you drive into hills or mountains you will lose your signal. The reception is horrible. Very much false advertising.

Had a standard truck cover for my maverick but could not put it on without either cutting a grommet hole or unscrewing the antennae each time

Your reception will suffer in my experience i’ll go with about 20 reduction
