It saves tons of money to rent a machine from hd. I have an expensive, heavy, rotary machine, and this is much easier to use.
Cons
The only way you're going to get this into a drain is to get to a part of the drain that widens to 3 inches. This thing is almost perfect, but has a serious design flaw. The snake end was completely damaged and unsalvagable.

The roller ball tip is large and difficult to push through a clog in the drain lines from the gutters on the house because of the flexible line
