Quality
So for say about $8 per car for a hydrophobic effect lasting 6-8 months i am all for this product.
In total, this product is well worth the 15 dollars it costs and i have highly reccomended it to my friends and family.
The clarity defender product works very well, i believe.
I can use a lower setting on the interval with the regular florida rain and rarely need constant wiper action.
Competitiveness
I have been a rain-x fan for years.
But it lasts months longer than rain-x for sure.
I assume this is because i was unable to achieve complete elimination of the rain-x product on the glass during pre-cleaning.

The problem with rainx is that reapplication is required every month heavy use months to two months

The hydrophobic effect of clarity defender was not as intense as an initial application of rainx

Further clarity defenders degradation over time does not increase obscuration unlike rainx where sections of glass erode before others creating alternating hazing patterns on the windshield
