Pros

No brew baskets to clean. Grind your own beans. It's harder to pour with a regular rea kettle, but if you had a long spout kettle in may be easier.

This is a nice little carafe though it holds only about a mugs worth of coffee. I find that the coffee grounds don't bloom as much, maybe because the funnel is so much steeper. The chemex is the best coffee brewer ever, including this size.

New study shows that even decaf coffee has the beneficial health effects. Coffee usually bothers my stomach, but with this one it does not. Reheats coffee well on my gas stove, too.

I prefer the glass handle to the wooden collar as you don’t have to keep removing it and putting it back on for cleaning. Better than the more popular chemex with the rawhide strings.

I loved the chemex style of the collar and the beads the quality of the glass and used it for a couple years

I have decided to give it a try because i am not please with the other ones i have purchased from expensive to cheap ones

Its not quite high enough right out of the instahot tap

All the chemex products are well designed beautiful enough to leave on the counter

So much better than the pourover rig that goes on top of the cup

Or maybe invest in a chemex cosy
