I simply attach the hand cord to my camera and let it hang -- making sure it is securely attached and doesn't fall out. Easy to setup and controls.

Cons
It says connected but the app controls are greyed out and app says not connected to camera. It's just faulty and doesn't do what it says it will.
If you find yourself dealing with camfi's support, i suggest that you be very cautious. Definitely not a professional tool. This is built horribly. Very disappointed. A major disappointment.

Ordered this as i wanted to try controlling my canon 70d remotely
I tried the mobo eyefi and the toshiba flashair but they were both awful
Note that the usb cable that comes with it will not work with a nikon d810 which requires a usb 3

I hesitated buying the cam ranger for almost 2 years due to its hefty price tag my husband and i wanted to try taking some of our wedding shots ourselves but were not professional photographers so it was hard to justify the cost

All the other remotes either didnt control the shutter at all in video mode or you had to stand in front of the camera

The only thing that would make this product even better in my opinion would be to have lithium batteries that you could change out or have some way to know how much of a charge you have left
