    I recently bought an lg 219 1080p since my model mac mini cant support 4k anyway save your and the hdmi output to hdmi input on the monitor will not support 1250x1080

    Note you need an active mini dp to hdmi like this one to get the os to give you the option in system settings for the resolution you need

    Only figured this out after trying a lot of other incorrect configurations other adapters that didnt support high enough resolutions or high enough refresh rates

    Bought this one since microsoft dock which is a lousy product with my surfsce book 2 was having issue with the passive minidp to hdmi

    On the apples spec it wouldt be able to output 4k ui looks like 1080p

    All you need to do is to use switchresx to set the display mode to 1080p 30hz hidpi
