Pros & Cons
Pros
Throughly impressed. For the cost and design. Only downside is its size. Good injector. Vent slots for cooling.
Cons
Product is misrepresented as model/part #poe-i100g, the active sensing, otherwise identical model. There is a large current inrush and this will destroy the ethernet pulse transformer. Of course your device is now and forever inoperative.
The refund issued. The buyer beware.
This product is among the many that falsely claim to be 802. They claim this unit can provide 30 watts, but a cisco 2802i requires 26. The ap requires 25.
Highlights
Quality
Stackable feature keeps product secure and organized
Vent slots for cooling and seems to have robust construction
Long term use these continually get hung up and need to be power cycled
Purchased this to power my ubiquity ap pro that unfortunately did not come with a poe injector
Price
Great price on these and true plugnplay
Its discretely cheaper and every bit as functional
I took a chance and purchased a used model figuring that if i was wrong i would only be out 10
Not a deal breaker for the price but it is not a full stop perfect solution
Shipping
I wasnt happy with how it shipped
Product was originally shipped without a power cord
Contacted seller through amazon and they responded immediately with a replacement
Packaging/appearance
Item seems to be good quality and was packaged well
Th item was packed from the factory in a brown mailer type box where the lid has flaps that tuck into the front to close it
The box wasnt sealed shut with tape
Other than that the packaging is great and the devices simply work
Competitiveness
Ive bought a few dozen of these for poe touch panels
