Pros & Cons
Pros
It takes about 20 minutes to heat subsequent full pot pours. The only annoying feature is that it is heating the water constantly like a home water heater driving up the electric bill. It makes 12 cups of hot (192°) coffee in 3 minutes or less.
Two things are bothersome, although i'm sure i'll eventually get over it. First and foremost this is built like a tank! Everyone likes it. It’s very stylish.
The coffee maker is on the large size, but fits under my kitchen cabinet. It actually vibrates the granite counter and the tiled floors. My whole kitchen has that funk now. Makes the fastest, best cup of coffee.
This commercial unit brews 60 oz. Of flavorful coffee. It slows down the pour just a little bit for better results imo.
We use one like this at the firehouse and it keeps delivering great coffee. Very sturdy and well made, wouldn’t consider owning a different brand than bunn.
Cons
Gonna just stick with my smaller bunn. I'm really disappointed as i had high hopes because of the great reviews but this is going back today. And lastly, this thing is huge & ugly!
The grate where you pour the water into the machine is also plastic. The product is marketed as one of the only stainless construction units. Smells horribly of burning plastic upon first plugging in.
Highlights
Quality
After receiving it i was superimpressed with the build quality
Comes with the water pitcher and enough filters to get you through for about 30 days
Sure i could have made do with the stock plastic basket but its the main reason why im spending 400 on a machine
I expect quality when paying top dollar for a commercial grade coffee maker
Price
Ive wanted one for years and the price was always a barrier
A home model cost anywhere from 99129
Competitiveness
Had a single serve kcup machine for years
I added a wemo smart plug to turn on automatically at 7am so when i make my pot at 730 the water is already hot and ready to go
Exactly what i was looking for after killing 12 cup home brewers made by various trusted brands
