I only used the second pump on the toes because the leather there absorbed it within minutes and the toe cap looked dry and matte versus the rest of the boot which was still glossy

Dont get me wrong they looked amazing but again these were badly in need of moisturizing

I used a clean piece of a cotton rag old tee shirts work perfectly for leather cleaningpolishing to buff any last bits of the oil from the previous day into the boot before applying the second coat and this time it only took 1 pump to do the whole boot

For every review i found extolling the benefits of neatsfoot oil i could be sure to find an equal number claiming it was harmful to leather
