Pros
My grandson and i enjoy the anticipation what is inside. Cold steel chisel should be used not just the hammer. In the box they include goggles, which is very important.
Cons
One of the geodes has a hole drilled in the bottom and it was hollow inside. The plastic insert was shredded. I let her try and crack it for 15 minutes with a hammer and chisel.

This was so much fun to do with the kids
First one broke like a charm with the hammer
Still very pretty but it is not the typical geode quality that we are use to seeing

They sent out a replacement for her at no cost without me requesting it

I would recommend trying to order these geodes so that they are the only item in their package if possible

The weight of the geodes combined with handling during transit crushed the box of another item inside the amazon box

The other product itself is not damaged but i felt a little bad giving a gift whose box was crushed and couldnt close nicely anymore

Additionally the geodes box rained sandy dust all over the other items in the amazon box as the geodes box was also slightly damaged during transit

I liked this product it was just very hard to break open and i gifted it to someone for christmas they had no idea how to break it open and it didnt come with directions
