Pros
The suction filter works really well keeping the filters out of the water. One criticism is of the nylon strainer inside.
Looks great and cleans up easily. All they want is a reasonable price. That seems to include all components of the product.
The glass french press carafe comes out on weekends. We loosen the screws a little on the handle. I grind my beans fresh while the water is heating.
Cons
This shatterproof carafe has several cracks in it after just 6 months. It's now late february and there is a crack that reaches from the bottom almost to the top of the coffee reservoir.
The plastic carafe is a total waste of material. When you depress the plunger mechanism, it stops about 3/4 from the bottom of the carafe. It cracked as we poured hot water in to make coffee.
The metal casing has already started rusting. The plastic canister easily slips out of the frame that cradles it.

The directions for use are very clear and they specify exactly how much coffee to use per cup the proper grind and exactly how long to let the coffee brew before pouring
