Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

This trap successfully catches asian tiger mosquitos in north texas. General maintenance is easy, with changing the sticky paper every 2-4 weeks. Add mosquito attractant to the top, to enhance this trap.

Thirdly, the skeetervac is cheaper.

One minor thing that got me worried when i was putting it together is that it came with a blue rhino sticker upside-down on the support beam.

Cons

The product is way over priced. It's not worth the propane it burns. All i see is a total waste of money product, propane, new tack strips and sent.

After two weeks of continuous use and probably closer to 8 weeks before a measurable impact. This unacceptable. I'm not so sure that it can cover a full 1+ acre.

Once you have it running, it emits flashing led diode lights. It just lights itself whenever it pleases.

Quality

Evidently the skeetervac has been improved greatly in the past couple of years because ours made it possible to be outside with...  Read More

Easy to replace and you can see how well the skeeter vac does by all the insects glued to the trap

Hope you are handy because it will need to be completely dissembled and cleaned every 2 years with no replacement parts

30 minutes later they were all stuck to the adhesive paper

Price

We can charge 30 and create a recurring revenue stream that would be the envy of my colleagues in software development even though at 99

25 each to produce so even a 5 price would not shock the conscience but to charge 30 sure looks like gouging it is as if some ...  Read More

For the price i would hope they would last longer

It’s expensive but i had a full tray in less then three weeks

Shipping

Instead of sending the entire thing back the seller worked to have the property ones sent by the manufacturer

So far so good second one in five years they do not last forever

Packaging/appearance

The reason only 4 stars is because even though it was over packed it got slightly damaged in shipping

Here is a picture of the container on day 7

There were few plastic pieces inside the box when i unpacked it

Competitiveness

We think this is the best value for money over all the other products we’ve tried to keep mosquitoes at bay
