Racks work well, but can be challenging to put on your first time. New rack is an improvement on the old one, with the plastic fittings having been replaced with silicon coated metal ones.

Cons

This rack is not a good solution for regular travel with a longboard. The straps are constantly vibrating and wearing against your car's paint. In rain, drips from the strap make the interior wet. Who makes a roof pad only 15 across?
