The instructions state that the pole comes with two styles of tips rubber and tungsten carbide but mine came with rubber tips and i didnt find tungsten carbide tips in the packaging i dont think it is possible to put snow baskets on these poles so they wouldnt work for snowshoeing or skiing  Read Less
