Keep in mind for my situation the unit was placed only 10 feet from where the nuisance was occurring untrained barking beagle there was a deck privacy fence in between the unit and the dog but still worked

The audible mode is a bit annoying if you are around

I would not recommend leaving it on when you are home because any sufficiently loud sound will set it off

I recommend not using the inaudible mode because you will never actually know when its going off unless you are watching your dog

I had to squirt the dog 3 or 4 times for a couple of nights and then the dog shut up
