Pros & Cons
Pros
Barge cement is my go-to adhesive for my automotive hobby. He gives very specific instructions for adhesion which worked phenomenally. Also great for clear plastic like lp turntable covers.
New formula without toluene seems to work just as well as the older, more toxic, mix. This product is so easy to use, and it works wonderfully! I use this product to help make me a pair of custom sneakers.
Almost the same as the oldie barge cement. Amazon quite often marks things delivered, & the product arrives 5 days later.
This is viscous enough for me to apply with a toothpick and then clamp for 72 hours. Great for small foam work and its the same stuff as barge.

This makes it great for shoes and anything that needs to flex through movement
Great stuff for shoes and any item that bends
It mostly reattached the soles except for the toe on one shoe
This product was recommended by hitchcock shoes when the sole separated entirely from the uppers of a pair they sold me years ago
Price
It cost about 10 which is more than shoo goo or contact cement
Competitiveness
As stated in the headline barge is an excellent adhesive brand but you must conform to their standards to get the fix your desire correct

I used contact cement to successfully reattach that toe and it makes me wonder if contact cement which only cost about 1 at the dollar store might have been capable of doing the entire job
