Barbasol 1019 is the closest smoothest shave of my life -- no stubble left on my face. Tremendously close and comfortable shave.
This product is exceptional! Just make sure to add water. Imagine lotion like hand cream. Best to use your fingers to work it into your skin.
Cons
Many people prefer slick creams to lather creams, but i wouldn't recommend this to those who like the former for either straight razor or safety razor shaving. It’s simply not thick or creamy enough, this is very similar to the cremo brand, very thin.... Read More
Buyer beware! A real waste of money. Spend the extra bucks and buy the reliable trufitt & hill or even palmolive.
Pass on this one. Very disappointing. I was tempted to even go down to 2. I am almost always disappointed and this stuff continues that tradition.

I ordered through amazon and received barbasol 1919 a few days ago
Packaging/appearance
Its very different from the regular foam but honestly it is easier to pack in my luggage

Its not comparable to the great taylor of old bond street or proraso
However the price for this cream is competitive with similar products from other manufacturers
I have tried several other nonaerosol brands and i prefer this one

Its a little sticky so it probably works better if you shave in the shower so you can rinse it off your face a little easier

The last time i bought barbasol in a tube was in about 1980 and that product came in a metal tube and was a lot thicker and soapier but it dissolved better in water

We used to buy it in the military because cans of shaving cream exploded in the unpressurized cargo areas in airplanes
