While there are suction cups on the feet of each wall it doesnt do anything when placed on the carpet or a foam play mat

The door is very sturdy my 6 year old has a hard time opening it as you have to slightly push in before sliding the button to the left to disengage both levers there is a locking lever at the top on the side and at the bottom

Some times she opens it half way causing the door to bend a bit until she gets both latches to open but no big deal
