The sound quality is wonderful. The sound is just awesome.
It is plenty loud and clear for listening to audiobooks. It makes sound on our fire tablet so much clearer. The mixer unit has a headphone volume control.
Cons
It's absolutely worthless. Amazon has a no return policy on this speaker. Shame on amazon for saying returns can not be accepted for this item due to gasses. It's my own fault, amazon is usually fair about their return policy.
The instructions for charging say the light will change to blue when it was charged. Very tinny, distorted sound. If i turn it up to even a medium level it sounds like a blown speaker in a 1972 ford pinto.
It rolls off of my laptop and dangles (which likely broke the input connector with the first speaker) also, there has been static on the connecting cable from speaker to my phone. Lasted 2 weeks and then would not charge.

For something so physically small the sound it produces is surprisingly big

At under 20 i decided to give this little speaker a shot and im glad i did
I bought 2 as you can see and it was worth every penny
But for the price i can deal with it
Not sure if it could be beaten for this price

I received this ayl mini speaker on time and its performance exceeded my expectations

All i did was take it out of the box plug it in adjust the volume and in less than 3 minutes my husband could comfortably hear
