The airflow direction is not marked on the filter but the cover on the mdx airbox prevents you from installing it backwards

The installation hassle was due to the design of the car not the filter

My honda pilot is at 130k miles the last time i had this changed was at 35k so i knew it needed it a pain to get to on mine 05 pilot requires glovebox off brace out of way etc but once in there i cleaned it all out removed the yucky filter and get this in maybe 25 mins total and saved a ton over the dealer doing it
