The bad news of these interactions was aside from being told to call asus who had nothing to do with the actual issue being that i purchased an open box product from amazon that i would need to return the entire unit for a refund

Because the missing part was available on amazon and because i had asus confirm the ssd part number to be shipped with my laptops serial and give me their trouble ticket number which amazon put me on hold to verify the service representatives supervisor was able to authorize a rebate to my credit card to cover the cost of purchasing the ssds myself
