Phileas fogg, an exacting rich single english gentleman, takes on this bet and hastily sets out on an adventure accompanied by his manservant. This classic is full of action and adventure with many moments of suspense.
Cons
This is my first jules verne book, and i must say that i'm disappointed. An assortment of words are repeatedly misused. Do not buy this book.
The print is minuscule, definitely a single digit font. I feel this should have been more disclosed since it is a hardcover. The print quality may be impacted negatively, and there are likely layout and editing errors due to the copy/paste process.
Highlights
Quality
The quality is excellent very clear and the content is very helpful to me
Also the quality of the paper used in this book was not what i prefer
It will be fun to read it with the kids when they are in middle school or high school

Not as i remembered from grade school but as good as the 1956 movie with david niven cantinflas shirley mclaine and robert newman and significantly better than the recent remake for pbs in 2021 which was a rather poor “woke” remake of a great novel

For example in chapter 25 verne writes from his exalted position passepartout observed with much curiousity the wide streets the low evenly ranged houes the anglosaxon gothic churches the great docks the palatial wooden and brick warehouses the numerous conveyances omnibuses horsecars and upon the sidewalks not only americans and europeans but chinese and indians
