After six months of use one scratcher pole is starting to wear out at the top

Im guessing this is a common issue with this style of scratcher and i have used sisel rope from the hardware store to repair them in the past

My only complaint is that the cat tree that i received had some minor defects including a set of holes that did not line up to put it together so i had to drill a new hole
