Apple stopped making them and the magic mouse 2 is rechargeable
Youd think that would be better than needing batteries like this magic mouse and it does sort of eat batteries but its worth it
Its actually not better because to charge the new magic mouse 2 you need to flip it over and stick a charge cable perpendicularly into the bottom of it rendering the mouse completely unusable
Why apple didnt add the charging port at the lower front of the mouse where every wired mouses cable enters the mouse is a question for the ages
