As the actual letters are transparent to allow the clear look to the backlighting they are unreadable with the backlight off

I had a keyboard where you could read the keys with it off but the quality of the backlight was poor due to the letters not being fully transparent

This is really annoying for non gaming or word processing as you will miss the key often if youre used to a standard keyboard

It does have a button to turn the backlight function off but if you do that you wont be able to see the lettering on the keys at all

The only thing i dont like about this keyboard is the enter key is a little smaller than on most boards and the backspace key is very small the same size as the letter keys
