Only reason i gave it four stars and not five is due to the fact that the widget that holds the shower head in place is plastic

Because of said plumbing novicehood i did have to lookup a quick video online to instruct me on the proper wrapping off teflon tape but apart from that i was able to follow the directions exactly as written

Weve had it for about a year now and it replaced a cheaper version that was an absolute nightmare to use and the nightmare showerhead fell apart and hit my husband on the head

I cross threaded it the first time i put it on and even when put on correctly i found it impossible to get a solid grip on it

Im not sure how the handheld show head pressure would feel near 1 gpm but assuming that is usable id go for that

If testing in the rd process shows that is too big of a compromise i could see fudging upwards of 2 gpm on the three way diverter input but not by much
